Case Study 1

Mr Smith is interested in an implant to replace a missing front tooth. After consulting with one of the dentists, his total treatment plan is $5600. He does not want to pay the full amount up-front, and would like to go on a fortnightly payment plan for a period of 24 weeks (approximately 6 months).

High Dental’s receptionist helped Mr Smith to apply for DentiCare. The suggested plan is to place a 20% deposit of $1120 to secure his treatment then pay $373.33 every fortnight for a total of 24 weeks. Mr Smith was happy with this and decided to proceed with the plan. Once his DentiCare application was approved, he was able to receive treatment immediately. He will now pay $373.33 every fortnight and by the end of 24 weeks, he would have completely paid off his implant treatment.

Case Study 2

Mrs Smith has lost all her upper teeth. She would like to replace all her upper teeth with implants. After consulting with one of the dentists, her treatment plan is $26000. Mrs Smith is unable to pay the full amount up-front and needs help with financing. The following payment plan was proposed:

$9000 from DentiCare which is to be paid back in monthly instalments over a period of 24 monthsEarly access to $17000 from her superannuation

Once the above applications were approved, Mrs Smith used her superannuation to place a 20% deposit of $5200 to secure her treatment and was able to start the journey to restoring her smile immediately. She will now pay DentiCare $375 every month for a period of 24 months. The remaining $11800 will be paid from her superannuation funds as she receives treatment.

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS)

CDBS provides basic dental services to children. Dental services are capped at $1026 over 2 consecutive calendar years.
